Alicia joined the FL programme in Newark in 2010. Her attendance at the start was very spasmodic and her work ethic was not good. After a few week s of hard work from Alicia she soon began to realise her own potential. She began to knuckle down and produce some great work.
Her attendance reached 100% and she was setting a great example for all other students. Alicia completed all of her FL aims in Maths, English, ICT, PSD and Health and Social Care. During Fl sessions she showed great potential by helping other students with their tasks, she then realised that she enjoyed working with and helping students to achieve.
Alicia then moved onto the TA apprenticeship course. She applied herself and completed all of her TA qualifications. Alongside this Alicia took it upon herself to go to Night school and take and complete her PTTLS qualification. As recognition of Alicia’s hard work and commitment she, then moved onto a Paid Apprenticeship working as a TA in our restart programme at ETS Newark.
I like coming to EYS because it is a friendly atmosphere. I am improving my maths and English. I like it much better than school because I get on with my work and do lots more. The staff are always there to help with any problems even if not educational. The staff are always friendly and approachable.
I like coming to EYS because I want to improve my education. I get more work done at EYS because there are less people in my class so my tutor is nearly always available to help me. My tutors never say that they do not have time they always make time. The staff at EYS are all friendly and helpful.
